About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality clinical care to patients with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide cross-cover for leave with other senior medical staff within the CRHTT
  • Carry out scheduled and urgent clinical work flexibly to support clinical need and patient safety
  • Lead on the interface with primary care and ensure an effective interface with the Acute Care Pathway
  • Manage risk and weigh complex risk information to deliver care that is in the best interests of the recovery of the individual
Requirements
  • Full Registration with the General Medical Council
  • Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 12 months of CCT at time of interview
  • CCT in general adult psychiatry or equivalent through CESR route
  • Approved under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983
  • Prior experience of working with detained patients as senior trainee, associate specialist or consultant
