Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals for students in accordance with school guidelines and dietary requirements.
- Collaborate with school staff to create a diverse and appealing menu that meets the nutritional needs of students.
- Ensure all meals are prepared and served on time, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Monitor food inventory, place orders for supplies, and manage the kitchen budget effectively.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen workspace.
- Accommodate special dietary needs and allergies, providing alternative menu options as required.
- Foster a positive and welcoming dining atmosphere for students and staff.
- Collaborate with school administrators to implement and update menu plans based on feedback and nutritional guidelines.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Teach basic cookery skills to students if extending to a full-time position.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a school or similar environment.
