As a senior procurement professional, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and excellence through effective sourcing strategies, supplier evaluation, and relationship management.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable expertise in strategic procurement within a manufacturing or distribution environment, with a strong track record of negotiating optimal contract terms and value for money. You will be responsible for researching and building an effective supply chain, achieving optimum prices and delivery times, and mentoring junior members of the purchasing team.
A competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, reflects the company's commitment to attracting and retaining top talent. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrable strategic procurement expertise within a manufacturing (of an engineered product) or distribution environment.
- CIPS Level 4, or equivalent Supply Chain Qualification, or qualified by experience.
- Ability to negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimum contract terms, value for money and quality.
- Intermediate level MS Office skills, with ability to analyse data on Microsoft packages such as Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
