About the Role


We are seeking a Nightcare Professional to join our dedicated team at Riverside House in East Ayrshire. As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will work directly with young people who require 24/7 support and care.


Key Responsibilities


You will be responsible for:



  • Providing emotional support and stability to vulnerable youth
  • Working as part of a trauma-informed team to meet the social, emotional, and educational needs of young people
  • Encouraging self-care skills and participation in domestic tasks
  • Writing review reports, risk assessments, and contributing to care plans
  • Liaising with parents and partner agencies to ensure the best interests of young people are respected

Requirements


To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • A good understanding of developmental needs and milestones of young people
  • Experience working with children and families
  • A driving license
  • The ability to communicate effectively with young people, parents/carers, and other professionals
  • HNC in Social Care or equivalent qualification (SVQ Level 3 in Care)
