We are seeking a highly skilled Human Services Assistant to join our team as an Eligibility and Referral Coordinator. This role will be responsible for providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment, answering questions, directing calls, and taking changes from incoming telephone calls.

The ideal candidate will have two years of experience in office support and administration practices and procedures, clerical, and/or direct customer service within social services/human services, business, or related field. They should also possess strong organizational, oral/written communication, customer service, professional, and interpersonal skills necessary to work in a team setting.

In this role, you will perform a variety of duties, including assisting clients with determining eligibility for assistance, informing them of available resources, and making referrals to appropriate agencies. You will also maintain records, compose correspondence, and provide administrative support to Eligibility Workers.

This position requires participation in Emergency Shelter Duty as permits. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong attention to detail, good time management, the ability to work accurately and timely under pressure, and the ability to compile and review data from multiple systems.

To be eligible for this position, you must have a high school diploma or GED, some college coursework in Human Services preferred, and relevant work experience in local government or public administration support work. Spanish bilingual is preferred.

This role is full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. We offer a competitive salary range of $39,481.00 to $46,390.00, based on location and experience.
