Fundraising Development Specialist

Harris Hill is proud to announce a new partnership with a leading charity, seeking an exceptional Community Fundraiser to join their team. As a Community Fundraiser, you will work closely with the Community Fundraising Manager to develop and maintain relationships with local community groups, schools, and small businesses, securing financial support for the charity's vital work.
Main Responsibilities- Engage and nurture a broad network of community supporters, encouraging ongoing contributions and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Organise and lead local fundraising events, working collaboratively with volunteers and ambassadors to raise awareness and funds.
- Deliver presentations and talks to community groups, inspiring them to join in the charity's mission to make a difference.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Care, Communications, and Marketing, to enhance fundraising efforts and strengthen community engagement.
- Contribute innovative ideas to maximise community income streams and assist in developing fundraising strategies.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Demonstrable experience in fundraising, marketing, or sales - Essential
- Community fundraising experience - Desirable
- Public speaking skills - Desirable
- A proven ability to work proactively identifying new contacts and opportunities for development – Essential
- Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with a diverse range of community groups and building meaningful relationships.
- Flexibility and adaptability, willing to attend community events during weekends and evenings, knowing that your dedication supports vital hospice services.
- Collaborative team player, working closely with multiple teams, ambassadors, and volunteers, ensuring a unified approach to fundraising.
This role requires a valid UK driving license and access to a car. The estimated salary for this position is approximately £30,000 per annum, based on industry standards and London-based salaries.
