Ecologist Role

Carrington West is seeking a talented Ecologist to join a multidisciplinary team based in Liverpool and contribute to the growth of their ecology services. This presents a real opportunity for career advancement within a collaborative and friendly practice offering a wide range of services.

The successful candidate will have experience in biodiversity net gain, ecological surveys, and natural England license applications. They will also be able to coordinate biodiversity impact assessments, BNG option assessments, and draft biodiversity gain plans. Additionally, they will have experience in the purchase of biodiversity units and credits as part of an offsetting scheme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Biodiversity Net Gain experience, including carrying out and coordinating biodiversity impact assessments, BNG option assessments for planning applications, and drafting and agreeing Biodiversity Gain Plans.
  • Experience of the purchase of biodiversity units and credits as part of an offsetting scheme.
  • Ecological survey experience, including Phase 1 Habitat Surveys, Ecological Impact Assessments, Biodiversity Enhancement & Management Plans, Natural England license applications (bats, great crested newt, and badger), and Biodiversity Net Gain assessments.
