Job Title: Specialist Community Dietitian

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist Community Dietitian to join our team at the Transformation Unit. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients across our Hyper Acute Stroke Unit and Stroke Rehabilitation unit.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have good post-registration experience of working as a Band 5/6 and will be able to use their own initiative, be flexible in their approach, and be inspired to be part of a developing service. We are a Trust committed to innovative practice, audit, and research opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the Band 7 stroke dietitian to help deliver care to patients
  • Develop and implement effective nutrition plans for patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Conduct nutritional assessments and provide evidence-based recommendations
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in dietetics
Requirements
  • BSc. or MSc. in Nutrition and Dietetics or BSc. in relevant science followed by Post Graduate Diploma or State Registration in Dietetics
  • State Registered Dietitian with the HCPC
  • Evidence of further study relevant to the post
  • Membership of relevant specialist groups
