Access Events is a dynamic and ambitious event branding and production company striving to become a major player in the events industry. With a strong focus on growth and expansion, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team in a dual role as financial controller and office administrator.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee the financial operations of the organization, including developing and implementing financial plans, analyzing financial data, and preparing reports.
- Manage company bookkeeping and related administration, including bank payments, business management account reports, and check and validate sub-contractor's invoices.
- Prepare VAT returns data for accountant and tax returns, ensuring maximum reduction in VAT submission.
- Check invoices from suppliers and contractors, validate payments on Xero, including bank reconciliations, and raise and send remittance advice from Xero for all payments of invoices.
- Make bank payments on Wednesday and Friday, manage the office accounts for Mobile phones and BT, and evaluate and refine financial systems where necessary.
- Carry out office administration tasks and manage international invoicing, Customs, and export taxes.
**Requirements**
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Xero accounting software.
- Strong background in financial management, accounting, and budgeting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to commute or relocate to London.
