The job of a Vehicle Technician is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail. If you have experience working with light vehicles and possess a Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, we would love to hear from you.

This position involves a wide range of tasks, including inspecting vehicles, diagnosing problems, and repairing or replacing components. You will also be responsible for road testing vehicles to ensure that your work has been done to a high standard.

As a Vehicle Technician, you will work closely with customers to determine the required work and communicate the costs involved. Your strong communication skills and ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner will be essential in building trust with our clients.

Responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities as a Vehicle Technician will include:
  • Inspecting vehicles to identify any faults or damage
  • Diagnosing problems and determining the necessary repairs
  • Communicating with customers to explain the work required and the costs involved
  • Performing repairs and replacements, including brakes, suspension, and steering component replacement

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
  • A full driver's license with no more than 9 points
  • Experience of delivering interim, full, and major services plus relevant repair and replacement work
