Job Title: Children Law Solicitor

We are seeking an experienced Children Law Solicitor to join our Child Care Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and representation to clients in all aspects of child care law.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members
  • Manage and supervise Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, and Caseworkers
  • Assist with delivery of training and development in the department
  • Deal with a range of public and private children cases, including child abduction, child protection issues, special guardianship, and adoption matters
  • Undertake your own advocacy and provide expert advice to clients
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Valid Practising Certificate
  • Registered with the Law Society and Children Panel Membership
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Excellent client care skills and ability to deal with vulnerable clients
  • Excellent networking and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of publicly funded Child Care work and ability to service privately funded cases
