Your new role at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited involves joining a small business services team at a large data centre in Edinburgh. As the person accountable for all day-to-day and change activity within the property, you will deliver facilities in accordance with approved procedures and standards, ensuring service level targets are achieved in relation to running costs, energy conservation, and cost reduction opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operation of building services.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

What you'll need to succeedYou will have gained a qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline at HNC level or above, or have served and completed an apprenticeship. Sufficient skills, knowledge & experience within a critical building environment with data centres being an advantage would also be considered. Due to the location, you will require a driving licence.

This will include dayshift, backshift & night shift and be a repeat rota in line with the business needs.
