Job Overview

An advanced manufacturing business in Manchester is seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to support their submarine programmes. As a senior or principal engineer, you will work on functional design, offer specialized advice, generate evidence, collaborate with customers, conduct peer reviews, and present technical arguments effectively.

About the Role

This is a hybrid position where you will be required to travel to site twice fortnightly. You will engage in coordinating engineering tasks, providing guidance and advice, taking notice of budget, timescale, and quality standards, and offering leadership when necessary.

As a Senior Engineer, you will have demonstrable experience of engineering lifecycle and technical specialities, with working towards relevant Professional Registration. As a Principal Engineer, you will have significant experience of engineering lifecycle phases and technical specialities, with obtaining or capable of obtaining relevant Professional Registration (CEng).

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. The company offers a range of benefits, including opportunities for personal and team development, which ensures that professional capability of the business and individual are maintained and improved.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Degree or equivalent qualification is required, along with experience in an Engineering background. Proficiency in PLC and SCADA programming, C&I system verification test design, or parts specification would be advantageous.
