About the Role:
In this hands-on role, you'll perform reactive and planned maintenance tasks on plant, CNC machinery, and furnaces. You will troubleshoot and diagnose faults in electrical control systems, PLCs, CNC drive systems, and temperature controllers. Your work will involve collaboration with suppliers, external contractors, and internal teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Your Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in electrical control systems, PLCs, and other equipment.
  3. Work with mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic components, to maintain production equipment.
  4. Support the TPM scheme and execute Planned Preventative Maintenance to enhance production efficiency.
  5. Document maintenance activities and assist with spare parts management.
  6. Participate in plant installations, continuous improvement projects, and training for apprentices or understudies.


What You'll Bring:
We're looking for an experienced technician who is:

  • Ideal candidate: Apprentice-trained with a qualification such as HNC or BTEC in electrical/electronic engineering.
  • Skilled in Maintenance: Practical experience working with CNC machinery, electrical control systems, and mechanical components.
  • Qualified: IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge is desirable.
  • Organised and Proactive: Strong planning and problem-solving abilities with a can-do attitude.
  • Team-Oriented: Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with a team.


Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this role is around £40,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you'll receive 25 days of holiday (plus bank holidays), a generous contributory pension scheme, life insurance, and more.
