Job Description

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Fabric Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Fabric Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out building fabric maintenance on a corporate commercial office estate.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of building fabric systems, including emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.
  • Perform painting and decorating tasks, including touch-ups and minor repairs.
  • Carry out basic lighting and electrical work, including installing and repairing lighting fixtures.
  • Assist with basic carpentry and plumbing tasks, including minor repairs and installations.
  • Fix and assemble furniture, as well as hang pictures and shelves.
  • Maintain and update log books to track maintenance activities and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Escort sub-contractors and ensure that they are aware of and comply with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of commercial building maintenance and building fabric systems.
  • Understanding of basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic PC literacy and ability to use Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service and work in a fast-paced environment.
