We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Senior to join our dynamic audit team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant or exceptional finalist to bring their previous audit experience to a growing accountancy practice.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing complete and efficient delivery to the audit department management team and principals. This will include overseeing and undertaking audits and accounts work, both in the office and at client premises.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the accurate production of information and maintaining appropriate audit trails
  • Providing guidance on accounting practices and ensuring their adoption in the production of financial information
  • Providing technical expertise to design technical solutions
  • Preparing statutory financial statements for limited companies
  • Preparing partnerships and sole traders accounts
  • Filing annual returns and PSC confirmation statements to Companies House
  • Supervising and assisting junior members of staff
  • Liaising with clients and HMRC
  • Managing a portfolio of clients (dependent on experience)
  • Maintaining and developing client relationships

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified ACA or ACCA status
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice
  • Experience in delivering external audit and accounting services
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships and use own initiative
