About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our culinary team at Gloucester Robinswood Hotel, Signature Collection By Best Western. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, overseeing food preparation and ensuring that all dishes are of the highest quality, cooked to perfection, and presented beautifully.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to implement standard recipes, maintain food costs, and lead the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food, day after day.
- Have a proven track record of leading a kitchen team and managing a high-volume operation, as well as a deep understanding of food safety and health and safety regulations.
- Be responsible for managing the kitchen budget, ordering supplies, and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas, ensuring that they are innovative, delicious, and meet the high standards of our hotel.
Requirements:
- Several years of experience working in a similar role in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong background in a variety of cuisines and knowledge of modern cooking techniques and equipment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, as well as a proven ability to lead and manage a team.
- Experience in menu planning, cost control, and ordering supplies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other members of the kitchen team and front-of-house staff.
