About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Yard Operative to join our team in Burnt Oak, Edgware. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing warehouse operations, including picking orders, loading and unloading vehicles, and checking goods in. You will also be required to operate a counterbalance and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Picking orders (80% Yard work) using efficient methods to meet customer demands
  • Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Checking goods in to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Operating counterbalance equipment to handle heavy loads
  • Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
  • Participating in van driving duties (20%) as required
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working in a builders merchant or similar environment
  • Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points
  • A minimum of 2 years yard operative experience
  • Valid counterbalance forklift certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding environments
  • Strong health and safety awareness and adherence to company policies
Compensation:

The salary for this role is £27,000 - £28,000 per annum.
