Field Service Engineer

SF Recruitment is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our client's team in Nottingham. As a key member of the Engineering & Manufacturing division, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform planned service work on plant process machinery and control systems.
  2. Respond to emergency call-outs, attending sites or providing remote support.
  3. Produce high-quality reports for site visits, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  4. Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and Project Manager to provide reporting and estimation of service timescales and requirements.
  5. Support commissioning staff in installation and commissioning duties.
Requirements
  1. Apprenticeship or HNC in a relevant engineering or technical subject is preferred.
  2. Previous experience as a service engineer with both electrical and mechanical backgrounds is ideal.
  3. Understanding of basic programming for Rockwell (Allen Bradley) or Siemens PLCs is essential.
  4. Ability to work locally in Nottinghamshire, with occasional attendance at head office for mechanical and electrical machine build and test operations.
