ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING PROJECT SPECIALIST


We are seeking a Project Specialist to collaborate within a diverse team on the Wessex Water Framework, managing projects valued between £3m and £8m across the Bournemouth area.

Your role will involve reporting to a Project Manager and assisting with all technical and commercial elements of Electrical and Mechanical installations on-site.

Candidates should ideally possess qualifications in Electrical Engineering, along with a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles.

Scope of Responsibilities:


Implement new and enhance existing assets to minimize nutrient levels, particularly Phosphorus, in treated wastewater prior to its discharge into natural water bodies.


Mechanical and Electrical Installations:

Engage in the development of new Dosing Skids, storage tanks equipped with level instrumentation, MCERT flowmeters, pumps, actuated valves, penstocks, and access platforms.


Upgrades and Replacements:
Modernize existing lighting systems and replace outdated pumps, valves, flow meters, and instrumentation.

Key Duties:
Participate in internal and external design review and progress meetings

Examine electrical & mechanical design documentation

Assess specifications and preliminary designs

Procurement of Electrical & Mechanical Equipment and assist with subcontract procurement

Ensure that site installation activities and quality conform to both design specifications and relevant industry standards

Document and review as-built information

Generate Risk Assessments and Method Statements

Update project schedules

Prepare procurement timelines

Qualifications/Competencies:
Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering

Preferred background in Water Engineering

Strong understanding of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality Procedures

Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software

Advanced knowledge of Excel
