About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled National Policy and Campaigns Officer to join our team at Bluetownonline. As a key member of our Trade Union and Public Affairs Directorate, you will play a crucial role in researching and developing policy projects to support the delivery of our strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Development: Work with relevant committees and staff to develop key policy documents and position statements, with a focus on allocated country-specific initiatives.
  • Campaign Coordination: Coordinate allocated campaigns in conjunction with working groups, monitoring the landscape and advising on relevant issues.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Bluetownonline with internal and external stakeholders, including Association Specialist Groups, AHP policy officers, and working groups/networks.
  • Business Development: Contribute to the evolution of the policy function and contribute to the wider work and objectives of the Trade Union and Policy and Public Affairs business areas.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree-educated in a relevant field.
  • Campaign/Project Management: Proven experience in campaign and project management.
  • Policy Development: Experience in policy development, particularly in a trade union or membership organization.
  • Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion: Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion principles.
  • Public Policy Making Process: Knowledge of the public policy making process.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Working in a Membership Organization: Experience working in a membership organization.
  • Working in a Political Environment: Experience working in a political environment.
  • Dietetic or Allied Health Professional: Experience as a dietetic or allied health professional.
