Coil Winder/Assembler Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Coil Winder/Assembler to join our client's fast-growing production team at one of the UK's leading manufacturers of transformers, inductors, and special purpose wound components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test and ensure that products and assemblies are manufactured in accordance with company documentation and quality standards.
  • Undertake work both individually and as part of a team to achieve daily targets.
  • Use and maintain production equipment in a safe and professional manner.
  • Complete Batch Cards and always maintain traceability.
  • Assemble and wire to specification.
  • Perform linear and toroidal winding.
  • Develop an understanding and strong knowledge of the processes, tools, and equipment.
  • Engage in problem-solving and continual improvement.
  • Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the working environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role and industry is essential.
  • Health & Safety policies understanding.
  • Previous experience as an electrical tester.
  • IPC Qualification modules 1, 2 & 5 (desirable not essential).
  • Previous coil winding / assembly experience.
  • Understanding of Resin and Varnish procedures (desirable not essential).
  • Ability to work with small production tools, components, and equipment.
  • Good eyesight, colour vision, and an eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Capable of working in a team and building strong relationships.
  • Flexible, organised, and willing to learn different aspects of the production process.
