About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sub Agent to join our team in Kingsbury, working on the West Midlands stretch of HS2. As a key member of our Specialist Services Function, you will be responsible for managing the development of the scope of works, leading the preparation for the delivery of the works, and ensuring the works are performed to the contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the development of the scope of works, including resources, procurement, access, and construction pre-start readiness documentation.
  • Lead the preparation for the delivery of the works, including resources, procurement, access, and construction pre-start readiness documentation.
  • Manage, coordinate, and supervise the day-to-day site works from construction to close out and ensure the works are performed to the contract requirements.
  • Manage, supervise, train, and mentor the site team members to ensure high levels of control and promote their competencies development.
  • Monitor the site supervision, including subcontractors' performance, and ensure that the subcontractors/site team members have a regular common objective of achievement.
  • Manage the internal and external interfaces with regards to the execution of the works.
  • Advise and assist the commercial team in the preparation of all necessary contractual notices and instructions (under NEC contract).
  • Review, approve, and manage the correct implementation of Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and undertake periodic reviews.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing subcontractors and working with a major contractor.
  • Excellent team player and team leader, reporting progress to the Project Manager/Construction Manager.
  • Highly organized with good management and coordination skills.
  • Strong on technical details and with good communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations and current legislation and standards associated with all engineering aspects.
  • BBV behaviours, respecting equality and diversity.
  • Essential SMSTS minimum qualified. Temporary Works Supervisor desired.
About Balfour Beatty VINCI
