About the Role

New Directions Holding is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in the Bridgend area. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with additional learning needs in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, adapting to their unique requirements and needs.
  • Assist teachers in creating and implementing lesson plans, ensuring a tailored learning experience for students.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to identify and address students' learning gaps, promoting academic progress and achievement.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and policies.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with additional learning needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work with students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Basic knowledge of special educational needs and the ability to learn and apply new skills.
