Arboricultural Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Arboricultural Consultant to join our client's organisation, This is Alexander Faraday Limited. You will have the chance to work alongside our ecologists, GIS specialists, and other environmental experts.

• Prepare and submit tenders and proposals on behalf of the organisation.
• Provide expert advice on tree-related matters, ensuring compliance with relevant authorities and legislation.
• Lead on visual tree and hedgerow assessments, utilising your knowledge of UK legislation, including Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) and BS 5837: 2012.
• Interact with local authorities and planners, developing and promoting our arboriculture services.
• Manage and advise on felling licenses, ensuring adherence to UK regulations.

• A National Diploma in Arboriculture or equivalent degree.
• A full UK driver's license and willingness to travel across the UK when required.
• Good knowledge of UK Planning Legislation and Tree Preservation Orders.
• Ability to work with local authorities and stakeholders.
• A deep understanding of tree defects, diseases, and risk management.
• Extensive site monitoring and project supervision experience, with a passion for delivering high-quality work.
• Experience with BS 5837: 2012 guidelines and a strategic approach to tree care in design, demolition, and construction settings.
