About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join our team and contribute to the development of our risk-based internal audit plan. As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of audits that provide insightful assessments of the effectiveness of our controls in operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Assessment and Audit Planning: Identify and assess risks to Diligenta's successful delivery of strategic objectives and recommend relevant audit responses.
- Audit Execution: Deliver audit assignments that provide an insightful assessment of the effectiveness of the controls in operation, ensuring that audits are delivered in line with agreed timescales and budgets.
- Conduct Risk and TCF: Ensure that Conduct Risk and TCF principles are considered in all audit activities, and that communication networks are in place and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders are established.
- Team Leadership: Support and mentor junior team members, and deputise for audit leadership team when required.
Requirements
- Professional Qualifications: Be a certified Internal Auditor or a qualified accountant.
- Business Experience: Have previous exposure to business change / major transformation programmes.
- Industry Knowledge: Have a sound understanding of IIA Professional Practices Framework and corporate governance, risk management, and internal control.
- Desirable: Possess a Financial Services background.
