Job Summary

The Data Protection Manager will get the opportunity to sit within the Data Protection Team and report directly into the Head of Privacy who is also the Deputy Data Protection Officer. This role will focus on Data Protection and will involve taking ownership of a wide range of Data Protection tasks, although the successful candidate will maintain a broad knowledge of Compliance processes such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML).

You will get the chance to develop the Privacy team from a global context, giving you the opportunity to shape the Privacy function of a global Public Limited Company (PLC). You will also get the opportunity to develop and then implement or deliver processes, procedures, and training material to educate staff internally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Data Protection policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with Data Protection regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on Data Protection best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Data Protection Team to ensure effective Data Protection practices across the organization.
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of Compliance processes, including AML.
Requirements
  • A Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or equivalent qualification.
  • 4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Managerial experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 is desirable but not essential.
