Our client, a family-owned and licensed garment supplier to the high street, is seeking an ambitious and confident Assistant Merchandiser to join their team.

This role will involve assisting account managers and merchandise teams across multiple high street accounts. We also welcome eager graduates willing to learn.

The Role:

  • Negotiate prices with factories and customers.
  • Raise new orders internally and send them to overseas factories or in-country merchandisers.
  • Verify all details on customer contracts.
  • Liaise with factories and in-country merchandisers daily via email and phone regarding approvals and rejections.
  • Update and analyze internal and customer critical paths.
  • Conduct weekly Skype calls with factories.
  • Submit sample requests – lab dips/strike-offs to customers.
  • C coordinate between the licensing department and QC department for sample approvals.
  • Liaise with the logistics department to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Liaise with the design department if any design issues arise and request high-resolution artwork to send to the factory.
  • Verify label artworks and grant approval to the factory.
  • Identify production issues and resolve any problems that arise.
  • Analyze test reports and send production pieces to the lab.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Attend customer meetings.

  • Proactive approach.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office packages and Outlook.
  • Ensure a smooth handover between departments.
