We are seeking a highly skilled Fabric Artisan to join our bespoke furniture supplier in Willenhall, West Midlands. As a key member of our commercial furniture design and manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating sewing machines, cutting fabrics with precision, and ensuring the highest quality finished products.
Main Responsibilities:- Adjust machine settings according to job requirements
- Operate machines for accurate material feeding
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet pattern specifications
- Clean and maintain the machines
- Sew various fabrics, including cotton, wool, and industrial textiles
- Cut various fabrics and vinyl with scissors and cutters
- Utilize provided patterns
- Take measurements
- Determine the most efficient arrangement of patterns to minimize fabric waste
The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and proficiency in sewing and cutting. You will work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining focus and quality under time constraints. The working hours are from 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. We offer a competitive salary of £14.50 per hour depending on experience.
