About the Role

This challenging and engaging role involves collaborating with suppliers to ensure high-quality standards are met while fostering strong relationships with valued partners. As a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer, your day will be filled with interesting interactions, data analysis, and driving continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Product Qualification Activities at Suppliers – Conducting Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs) to guarantee the highest quality levels.
  2. Manage and resolve Quality issues related to supplier non-conforming components identified at assembly facilities, warehouses, or customers globally.
  3. Audit existing and potential suppliers to assess their capability in manufacturing and ensure quality systems are in place.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Techincal training or further education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM), and Quality Control routines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering organisations to ensure parts are manufacturable.
  • Self-motivated attitude and ownership of projects.
  • Ability to project manage Product and Process Qualifications and unexpected Supplier Quality Issues from start to finish.
  • Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability.

The estimated annual salary for this position is £65,000-£80,000 based on industry standards and location factors.
