IT Tutor

Join Dovetail and Slate, a leading education recruitment company, in our mission to provide high-quality education to adult learners in prisons. We are seeking an experienced IT Tutor to deliver a comprehensive curriculum, focusing on IT Functional Skills up to Level 2.

• Design and deliver engaging lesson plans to meet the training needs of learners, addressing basic literacy, numeracy, language, and social/employability barriers to employment.
• Conduct regular progress reviews to ensure the training continues to meet learners' identified needs.
• Actively gather feedback from learners and other sources, refining curriculum content accordingly.
• Engage and motivate learners to increase retention rates.

• Five GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics.
• A Degree or professional qualification relevant to the work.
• A recognized Teaching Qualification or willingness to gain one within the first two years of service.
• Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies.
• Excellent team working, communication, and interpersonal skills.
