About the Role

At AWE Plc, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to lead our maintenance projects supporting nuclear safety.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing infrastructure, plant and equipment projects, collaborating with teams to identify and resolve maintenance issues, and developing and implementing maintenance strategies to ensure safe and efficient operations.

This is a key role that requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage maintenance projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and quality assurance, to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize equipment performance, reduce downtime, and improve overall efficiency.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a nuclear or high-hazard industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading maintenance projects, improving efficiency, and reducing costs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
