Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Specialist to lead and support product modification projects from concept to production. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical design skills and CAD proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support small to medium-sized product modification projects from concept to production.
  • Solve product issues related to manufacturing, material supply, and customer needs.
  • Assist in R&D and cost reduction projects.
  • Provide R&D support, including prototype development for customer-specific tenders.
  • Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software.
  • Perform engineering calculations to ensure design performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Conduct prototype testing and iterate designs based on feedback.
  • Prepare and maintain design documentation.

Role Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Design.
  • Related Experience: Experience in medium to high-volume electro/mechanical and pneumatic high-pressure systems is essential.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Experience in designing pneumatic systems (essential).
    • Proficiency with Pro Engineer (desirable).
    • Experience in designing stamped, turned, and cast metal parts.
    • Experience in designing plastic injection molded parts (desirable).
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
    • Proven track record of delivering goals on time.
    • Knowledge of Six Sigma and DFMA (advantageous).
    • Familiarity with EN and international standards.
    • Experience in the PPE safety industry (desirable).
