The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accurate financial records, and assisting with payroll.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Bookkeeping and Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and journals.
  • VAT and Tax Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns and tax returns on behalf of clients.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment and receipt of funds.
  • Client Account Management: Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding to their queries and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
  • Payroll: Assist with payroll processing, including calculating salaries and wages, and preparing payslips.

Requirements:

  • Accounting Experience: 1-3 years of experience working in an accountancy practice, using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
  • Qualifications: AAT qualification or studying towards a qualification in accountancy.

We are looking for a talented individual who is passionate about finance and has excellent analytical skills. If you have a keen eye for detail and are able to work accurately under pressure, we would love to hear from you.

Salary: £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
