Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Arboricultural Inspector to undertake tree condition surveys and inspections across Liverpool's Greenspaces. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring Liverpool City Council fulfils its statutory duties and conservation expectations in relation to its tree stock.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct tree condition surveys and inspections to identify and prioritise tree work requirements based on the tree's health and legislative guidance.
  • Investigate and respond to enquiries from the public and Liverpool City Council, ensuring compliance to LSSL and Liverpool City Council's tree management policies.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and possess an NVQ level 3 or above in Arboriculture, coupled with a Lantra Professional Tree Inspector Cert (PTI), AA Tech Cert or similar.
  • Have knowledge and previous experience in completing detailed tree inspections, utilising IT equipment and electronic tree survey equipment.
  • Be comfortable working in an outdoor environment all year round.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • NVQ level 3 or above in Arboriculture.
  • Lantra Professional Tree Inspector Cert (PTI), AA Tech Cert or similar.
  • Knowledge and previous experience in completing detailed tree inspections.
  • Ability to utilise IT equipment and electronic tree survey equipment.

Working Hours

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 3:30pm. 24/7 Emergency Standby Rota, with a requirement to be on call 1 week in 4 on a rolling rota, equating to 13 occasions per year.
