Job Title

Principal DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Oxford, UK (90% Remote)

Salary: £80k per annum + 20% bonus

We are seeking a seasoned Principal AWS DevOps Lead to spearhead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and scalability of our applications.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a technical leader to join our Digital Waffle team. As a DevOps Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient cloud infrastructure using AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD. Your expertise in these technologies will be crucial in optimizing our systems for performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure to support business growth and innovation.
  2. Collaborate with development teams to streamline continuous integration and deployment processes, ensuring high-quality software releases.
  3. Develop Python or Bash scripts to automate tasks and enhance system functionality, improving overall efficiency and reducing manual errors.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in an AWS environment, with a strong understanding of cloud computing principles.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid working environment, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
