Job Title: Senior Category Buyer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Category Buyer to join our Procurement Team at 1st Executive Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a selection of suppliers for a given commodity group(s) and developing a strategy for your commodities ensuring best value and quickest and most suitable sources for new model development programmes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a selection of suppliers for a given commodity group(s).
  • Develop a strategy for your commodities ensuring best value and quickest and most suitable sources for new model development programmes.
  • Analyse supplier resources to ensure continued development support.
  • Perform category management including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract, performance and risk management.
  • Evaluate cost data and quotation analyses for supplier selections.
  • Identify cost saving opportunities and developing a strategy through Value Engineering (VE) or negotiations.
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of your commodity's global supply market and ensure a suitable knowledgebase is maintained for the company.
  • Preparation of reports and presentations for your respective categories.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in category management and procurement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and procedures.
