Design Engineer Job Description

NOV ELMAR, a subsidiary of National Oilwell Varco, is seeking a talented Design Engineer to join its Engineering Office in Kintore, Scotland. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for delivering innovative engineering designs and solutions to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in general clerical and administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of the Engineering Department.
  • Progress small engineering projects independently or work as part of a larger team on bigger projects, under the supervision of the Principal Engineer.
  • Participate in all aspects of the design process, including drafting and testing products, as well as other organizational tasks.
  • Stay aware of project targets and progress, communicating with colleagues and the line manager regarding delays or changes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate engineer to join a company that invests heavily in training and development. You will play a key part in the Design Engineering Team and have the opportunity to progress into senior roles further down the line.

Requirements:

  • Competent individual with an ability to complete design tasks pertinent to the position.
