Reading Interventionist

This is an exciting opportunity to join PeoplePlus as a Reading Interventionist, working in a dynamic and supportive team environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering reading support and intervention to prisoners with low-level reading skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide reading support and intervention to prisoners with low-level reading skills
• Work collaboratively with Prison Education teams and other stakeholders to develop a whole-prison approach to promote and embed reading
• Develop and deliver reading strategies and interventions aligned to individual needs

Requirements:

• Degree in Education or related field
• Experience of working with adults with low-level reading skills
• Good understanding of phonics and literacy interventions
