We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer who will report directly to the Engineering Manager on site. The successful candidate will provide support for all maintenance tasks and projects, including day-to-day breakdowns, planned preventive maintenance, equipment upgrades, new installations, and building/infrastructure enhancements.

Your Mission at Elis
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with Site Health and Safety instructions and the SSG Health and Safety manual, as well as relevant engineering standards.
  • Complete PPM activities on time as required, providing feedback to the Senior Engineer to improve the PPM system and activities.
  • Work closely with the Engineer on the opposite shift to ensure smooth handovers of ongoing activities, sharing information and best practices as needed.
  • Contribute knowledge and input to the continuous improvement of plant, machinery, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering colleagues and the Engineering Manager to identify long-running problems and suitable solutions.
  • Perform repairs to equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring Production is kept informed of progress.
  • Undertake remedial engineering works as instructed by the Engineering Manager.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, and near misses in accordance with Health and Safety Policies.
  • Maintain adherence to safe systems of work and best practice procedures.
  • Ensure the Company's disciplines, rules, and standards are upheld.
  • Promote excellent communication between Production staff and colleagues.
What Will Make You Stand Out?
  • A recognized qualification relevant to the role (e.g., mechanical or electrical C&G).
  • Skills in both Electrical and Mechanical trades: Apprenticeship with indentures preferred.
  • Electrical Installation Maintenance.
  • Mechanical Fabrication/Maintenance.
  • Electronic fault finding to component level.
  • Preferred knowledge of other engineering disciplines, including pneumatics, hydraulics, steam systems, and Electrical Installation 18th Edition.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
