Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Specialist Medical Lead to join our team at Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional to take on a key leadership role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Provide Clinical Leadership: As a Consultant in Paediatrics, you will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring that we meet the needs of our patients and their families.
  • Develop and Implement Services: You will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement services that meet the needs of our patients, including general paediatrics, paediatric endocrinology, and diabetes.
  • Teaching and Training: As a senior member of our team, you will play an active role in teaching and training junior staff, helping to develop the next generation of medical professionals.
  • Research and Audit: We value research and audit as essential components of our work. You will be expected to contribute to these activities, helping us to improve patient outcomes and advance our understanding of paediatric medicine.
Person Specification

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • MBBS or Equivalent: You will hold a degree in medicine or a related field and be registered with the GMC.
  • MRCPCH: You will have obtained Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
  • Leadership Experience: You will have demonstrated leadership skills and experience in a similar role, preferably within the NHS.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, both verbal and written.
