Join Our Team as a Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Daisy Hill Hospital. As a Band 2 HCA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and caring individual to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting patients with their daily needs, ensuring their comfort and happiness. You will also be involved in moving and getting patients around, monitoring their health signs, and providing emotional support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with their daily needs, ensuring their comfort and happiness
  • Help patients move and get around, ensuring their safety and confidence
  • Monitor patients' health signs and report any changes
  • Provide emotional support and be a friendly presence for patients
  • Encourage patients to participate in activities and hobbies to boost their mood and well-being

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

  • 6 months' experience in a healthcare environment
  • Right to work in Northern Ireland
  • Valid inoculations (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB)
