Key Responsibilities- Drive revenue growth and profitability through effective underwriting and account management.
- Manage and operate within defined parameters to achieve regional GWP, income, and profit objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong personal relationships with key directors and staff at regional brokers.
- Contribute towards business income and gross written premium (GWP) objectives while working towards target loss ratios and rate targets.
- Maintain all relevant reporting tools and ensure survey requests, survey overviews, and policy documentation are processed.
- Conduct regular case reviews to ensure technical procedures and standards are followed.
- Support the personal development of underwriting staff in the branch by delivering technical guidance and skills.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial underwriting P&C and motor trade.
- Proven broker account development and management skills.
- Effective selling skills and ability to negotiate flexibly and appropriately.
- Risk perception and risk selection skills, with ability to price risk accordingly.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a structured, planned manner.
As a Commercial Underwriter at Arch Capital Group, you can expect a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
