Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at our award-winning boutique hotel in Grasmere. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our restaurant, including menu development, kitchen management, and staff training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement menus that showcase the best of local, seasonal, and sustainable produce
  • Manage the kitchen team, including recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and service
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Work closely with the hotel's management team to develop and implement business strategies

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel
  • Strong knowledge of local, seasonal, and sustainable produce
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service

What We Offer

  • A highly competitive basic salary of up to £40,000 per annum
