About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Psychotherapist to join our team at Centrepoint, a leading youth homelessness charity. As a Psychotherapist, you will play a vital role in delivering one-to-one psychotherapy to homeless young people aged 16-25 in our Lambeth Emotional Well-being Service (LEWS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality psychotherapy sessions to young people, providing a safe and supportive environment for them to explore their thoughts and emotions.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues in Housing, who are the Keyworkers in Services, to ensure seamless support for our clients.
  • Be a visible presence in the LEWS Team, promoting psychotherapy and other disciplines to young people and colleagues alike.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, using our IT and information management systems.
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse range of audiences, including young people, colleagues, and external partners.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised qualification at post-graduate level in counselling, psychotherapy, or art therapy.
  • Current registration or accreditation with a relevant professional body (e.g. BACP, UKCP, HCPC).
  • A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience working with vulnerable young adults in a mental health setting.
