Job Summary:

Cornwall Mining Consultants, a leading mining subsidence and mundic expert in the south west, seeks an experienced Environmental Geologist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for researching, designing, and conducting field work, environmental consulting, soil analysis, and contaminated land assessments on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field work and geological assessments to identify potential hazards and risks
  • Develop and implement environmental consulting strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Analyze soil and groundwater samples to identify contaminants and assess remediation options
  • Collaborate with regulatory authorities, solicitors, estate agents, surveyors, and developers to ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in mining subsidence research and assessment, and on-site mining hazard investigation

Requirements:

  • Strong background in geology and environmental science
  • Experience in field work and geological assessments
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
