Job Overview

The FTTx Site Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of field activities for FTTx projects. Reporting directly to the Rollout PM/Construction Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing the implementation of agreed designs, adhering to health and safety protocols, and maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Progress Tracking and Quality Assurance
    • Monitor daily progress with Build Partners, ensuring timely updates on relevant tools and approving/rejecting completed works.
    • Verify the provision of As-Built documentation and updates by Build Partners, reviewing and accepting or rejecting submissions.
  • Onsite Quality, H&S, and Risk Assessments
    • Conduct thorough onsite assessments to identify potential issues and take corrective actions.
  • Material Management and Waste Handling
    • Track material usage based on site BOM, ensuring Build Partners report actual usage, shortages, and excess material.
    • Ensure Build Partners handle waste material in accordance with existing and applicable legislation.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Previous Experience
    • Proven supervisory experience on large UK FTTx projects.
  • Regulatory Knowledge
    • Thorough understanding of SROF/HAUC regulations.
  • Qualifications
    • SA001 Safety Overhead
    • SA002 Safety Underground
    • SSSTS/SMSTS
    • Knowledge and experience of H&S practices for traffic management, excavations, and underground asset avoidance.
