Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in Gynaecology at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. As a Senior Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a Senior Healthcare Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Participating in hysteroscopy, gynaecological outpatients, rapid access, colposcopy, and urogynaecology clinics
  • Liaising closely with the Band 6 and 7 teams to ensure efficient and effective communication
  • Contributing to the professional development of junior staff within the department
  • Enhancing the skills of junior staff as a role model

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registered Nurse with NMC registration
  • Recognised Mentorship Course or willingness to undertake
  • Specialist course relevant to the area

Essential criteria include a working knowledge of the use or research in developing nursing care and clinical products, having an in-depth knowledge of the issues surrounding the scope of professional practice and accountability, and possessing a high standard of communication skills, both written and oral.

Desirable criteria include understanding of the principles and processes involved in clinical governance, possessing relevant practical skills, and experience within Gynaecology.
