SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN teaching assistant to join our dynamic team at Academics. As an SEN teaching assistant, you will play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for children with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one support to children with special needs, adapting teaching strategies to meet their unique needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons, ensuring the child's active participation.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting a sense of belonging and self-confidence.
  • Collaborate with the school's SENCO and other professionals to develop individualised learning plans for the child.
  • Monitor and assess the children's progress, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and parents.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of effective teaching strategies and resources for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with the class teacher, parents, and external professionals.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for empowering every child to succeed.
  • Either live in Westminster or within a commutable distance.
