Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Conveyancing Professional to join our team at ACS Staffing Solutions. As a Paralegal Specialist, you will play a key role in providing administrative and fee-earning support to our senior conveyancer/solicitor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry your own files from quotation through to post-completion after a period of induction.
  • Participate in the Academy, progressing towards full-time fee-earning and discussing goals quarterly.
  • Provide exceptional client service, including phone calls and in-office meetings.
  • Prepare and send confirmation of instruction letters, AML, Source of Wealth and Funds, and update central records.
  • Apply for searches on purchase transactions and prepare Contract documentation for clients to sign.
  • Report to clients on all aspects affecting their matter and coordinate the exchange of contracts.
  • Prepare accounts packages and coordinate completions, handling post-completion work.
  • Handle incoming calls from clients, estate agents, and solicitors, using initiative to progress files alongside the Senior Conveyancer.
  • Understand and comply with SRA Accounts Rules and provide guidance to colleagues and Academy members when required.
  • Participate in specific training and prioritize self-development, adhering to company policies and procedures regarding client confidentiality, data protection, money laundering, and health & safety.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the Conveyancing process.
  • Minimum 24 months of experience in a law firm or similar environment.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly with MS applications, especially Word.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills, with a focus on client and introducer-centric service.
  • Ideal: Law-based qualification, desire to progress towards a formal Conveyancing qualification or SQE, and a career in Conveyancing.
